The Cans Trap is an item which is a crafted from Scrap Metal and Barbed Wire Coils components and can be placed on the property of a base. This trap has a 1 m tripwire.

Overview[]

The Cans Trap is not necessarily a trap, but instead an early warning device. After being placed on the base property, if a player, mutant or wildlife cross the area where the Cans Trap is placed, it will be triggered to make a loud noise of "cans rattling", alerting anyone on the base premises that something is moving around outside. The trap once tripped can be reset repeatedly for continued usage. Players cannot be harmed by the Cans Trap and thus they can be used on PVE servers without issue.

Placement[]

To place the item, players will need to right-click the item in their inventories, and choose "Place". A preview of the item's placement will appear in front of the player's field of view, bound to the player's movement and direction.

Rotation of the part can be done by holding the Alt key, and moving the mouse side to side. If the placement of the item is suitable, the item will be highlighted in green. If the placement is invalid, the item will be highlighted in red.

Players will only be able to build within 30 meters of a Plot Sign.

Related Item[]

Cans Trap is related to the Cans Trap 2m which has the same function with the exception that it has a longer 2 m tripwire and takes one more Barbed Wire Coil to create.
