The Hatchet is a small, single-handed tool with a sharp axe head and a short handle.
As a weapon, the Hatchet does 40% of damage to health for every hit, with a 65% chance of causing bleeding to its target.
Like the Axe, the Hatchet may also be used to gather wood logs from trees. For every swing against a tree, the Hatchet yields a 75% chance of adding a log to the inventory.
Hatchets are usually found in residential areas, stores and supermarkets, industrial areas such as garages and warehouses, and sometimes in military structures such as army tents or barracks.
